Public-interest monitoring

About PlayCheck BD

PlayCheck BD documents gambling-site claims aimed at Bangladesh so readers can see what is observed, what is independently verified and what remains unknown.

Why this exists

Search results can hide the evidence gap.

Comparison pages often repeat licence, bonus, payment and withdrawal claims without showing the original source, test date or commercial relationship behind the ranking.

This project starts from the opposite direction: every candidate is unrated, every automated claim remains labelled, and uncertainty is visible. A blank score is preferable to a confident-looking number built from copied marketing.

Dataset version 1

How the first 30 candidates were selected.

The baseline combines stable international brand roots, Bangladesh-localized pages and high-risk mirror-style domains currently surfaced in Bangladesh-facing research.

Inclusion requires enough current evidence to justify a monitoring target. It does not prove ownership, licensing, availability or safety. Nine domains begin in quarantine because provenance is unclear or multiple sites claim to be official.

Corrections

A factual challenge needs a source.

Operators and readers may challenge a monitored fact. The editorial record should capture the original observation, supporting evidence, decision and material correction date.

Limitations

No claim of completeness.

Domains appear, redirect and disappear quickly. The first 30-candidate universe is a reproducible baseline, not a promise that every gambling site targeting Bangladesh has been found.
